Applications Analyst - Lab Systems
100% FTE, hybrid position with core hours Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. On-site work at 8501 Excelsior Dr. required approximately once per quarter, plus on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation.
About the role
Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin, supporting Beaker AP/CP and other Lab Solutions (Blood Bank, Histotrac, Data Innovations, RALS, and more). This role involves cutting-edge support of current applications and new implementations impacting various clinical departments, including Blood Bank, Point of Care, and HLA software alongside Epic.
You will provide IS advice to staff with varying technical knowledge, collaborate with other IS analysts, and ensure excellent communication across clinical departments. Experience writing technical documentation or project management is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, support, and drive adoption of small- to medium-scale solutions.
- Apply critical thinking to identify problems and opportunities.
- Teach and mentor colleagues and end-users.
- Perform technical server setup for applications and vulnerability management.
- Support systems and operations in a 24x7 healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field Required.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree Required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the above fields Preferred.
Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in an IS applications field Preferred.
- Experience using, configuring, developing, or supporting applications, tools, and platforms relevant to the position Preferred.
- Experience working on or leading initiatives using agile methods Preferred.
- Experience in information services or technology, direct clinical care, healthcare operations, or healthcare administration Preferred.
- Healthcare subject matter expertise, including at least two (2) years of experience in a health system, academic medical center, or health payer organization Preferred.
