Applications Analyst-Clinical-Sr

Job Summary

Supports the core functions of EMC clinical applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. Implements, administers, and supports assigned clinical systems under the guidance of the Information Systems Management team. Manages software upgrades and maintenance as well as serves as Project Manager for major Information Systems projects. Coordinates application support with other IT teams and provides solutions to work orders, trouble tickets, and projects for assigned departments.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations
• Address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity
• Deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization
• Manage software upgrades and maintenance
• Serve as Project Manager for major Information Systems projects
• Cook up and maintain relationships with other IT teams including System Administrators, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk
• Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures
• Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets, and projects for assigned departments

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations
• Experience in managing software upgrades and maintenance
• Ability to serve as Project Manager for major Information Systems projects
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience coordinating application support with other IT teams
• Knowledge of change implementation procedures and compliance with departmental policies
• Ability to provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets, and projects for assigned departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in clinical information systems or IT support
• Experience with EMC clinical applications and health system operations
• Experience in project management and software development
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
