Applications Analyst-Clinical

About the role

This position supports the core functions of EMC Epic clinical applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. The role implements, administers, and supports assigned clinical systems under the guidance of senior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and support assigned clinical systems under the guidance of senior members of the team.
• Have a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations.
• Address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity.
• Deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization.
• Cook up application support with other information technology teams including System Administrator’s, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk.
• Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department’s policies and procedures.
• Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments.

Qualifications

• A thorough understanding of EMC Epic clinical applications and health system operations.
• Experience in implementing, administering, and supporting clinical systems.
• Ability to address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with other IT teams including System Administrator’s, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk.
• Experience implementing changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department’s policies and procedures.
• Experience providing solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments.
