Application System Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and update CMTS software in both AWS hosting environments and customer Windows OS environments.
• Aid customers with server migrations, including application and data migration tasks.
• Develop SQL queries, create custom reports, and perform data transformations for system migrations.
• Manage AWS infrastructure tasks such as environment provisioning, tagging, and patching.
• Support backup configuration, monitoring, and restore testing for the AWS environment.
• Conduct routine environment health checks.
• Support DevOps workflows using GitLab, Terraform, and industry-standard CI/CD practices.
• Conduct security scans, identify vulnerabilities, and execute or coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate on internal security audits and reduce organizational and client risks.
• Manage short-term and complex technical projects.
• Offer technical architecture recommendations to senior developers.
• Provide technical support for escalated customer inquiries for both internal and external users.
• Install and renew SSL certificates in customer Windows environments.
• Perform occasional data entry tasks related to projects.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for internal and client use.
• Identify operational risks and route them to appropriate teams for mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must pass Department of Defense and corporate background checks and drug screening. U.S. citizenship is required.
• High school diploma required; two years of post-secondary education preferred.
• Ability to work onsite at our Garner, NC office in a 40-hour work week.
• Five or more years of IT or related experience.
• Experience with AWS hosting environments and customer Windows OS environments.
• Experience with SQL query development, custom report creation.
• Experience with DevOps workflows using GitLab, Terraform, and industry-standard CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure tasks.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role
