Application System Administrator

About the role

Based in Milan but supporting our SaaS division in Germany, you will be responsible for our SaaS OBS environments and the operation of various interfaces to and from OBS (Objectway Banking Suite). You will work closely with the core banking development team, project management, and client support teams to ensure compliance with SLAs, internal and customer specifications, and legal requirements.

• Monitor and control the daily and end-of-day processing
• Provide our software for our customers and support them with our releases
• Coordinate tests and in some cases carry them out yourself
• Help to ensure compliance with SLAs, internal and customer specifications, and legal requirements

Requirements

• Completed studies or equivalent practical IT/banking training
• Solid knowledge of the administration of Linux operating systems and Windows server
• Solid knowledge in SQL (ANSI) and experience with ORACLE DB-administration
• Experience in dealing with data centres (e.g. setting up and operating infrastructures)
• Solid knowledge in Shell-scripting and experience in one or more programming languages (Python, Perl, C, C++ or Java)
• Experience in IT support, software packaging, and software delivery systems
• Understanding and knowledge of automation, continuous integration, and build tools
• Experience with service desk tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach to work
• Strong team and communication skills and a structured way of working
• Ability to collaborate with cross-site, functional teams
• Organisational skills and the ability to work under time pressure
• Agile mindset and experience with agile methods such as Jira and Confluence to support daily work
• Experience in project work
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office products
• Fluent English and good German language skills are also desirable
• Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours or on weekends to complete special tasks

Pay

The salary range for this position is €35,000 - €45,000. This compensation complies with the pay transparency requirements set out in EU Directive 2023/970. The company reserves the right, at the end of the selection process, to make a salary offer higher than that indicated in this advertisement, in line with the candidate’s professional experience and technical and soft skills.
