Application Support Engineer - Financial Services

About the role

Join a dynamic Financial Services technology team dedicated to maintaining and upgrading high-performance financial systems. This role centers on managing core fund applications while driving the technical evolution of our platform through migrations to cloud infrastructure and Python architectures. You will play an essential part in safeguarding daily transaction lifecycles and modernizing backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support business-critical fund applications across Windows, Linux, and SQL environments.
• Lead the triage, diagnosis, and resolution of application production outages under tight deadlines.
• Build, deploy, and migrate scripts and workflows to modern infrastructure platforms using Python.
• Collaborate closely with onshore and offshore engineering partners, vendors, and line-of-business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on application support and software engineering experience.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and advanced database capabilities using SQL.
• Deep technical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms.
• Specialized industry experience in Capital Markets, including familiarity with Equities, Fixed Income, and fund processing workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background consisting of an Associate's, Bachelor's degree, or higher.
• Fundamental understanding of ITIL frameworks and structured SDLC processes.
• Hands-on experience with production monitoring architectures such as Splunk and Kibana.
