Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities

• 8+ years of relevant Application/Production Support experience
• Provide L1/L2 application support for business-critical applications.
• Monitor applications, jobs, interfaces, and system health.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze application logs, errors, and system behavior to identify issues.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and QA teams for issue resolution.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within defined SLAs.
• Participate in production deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation.
• Create and maintain support documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Participate in on-call/rotational support as required.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders regarding incidents and resolutions.

Requirements

• Experience in Application Support / Production Support.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience working with application logs and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of REST APIs and application integrations.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management.
• Familiarity with ITIL/service management processes.
• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
• Good understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Java/.NET or web-based applications.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with application monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Banking/Financial Services or enterprise application support experience.
• Experience with automation and scripting.
