About the role
This remote position, located in the Northern US, focuses on the development and support of Kemira Total Chemistry Management Solutions, including products, control and monitoring solutions, and consultative services for the Packaging & Hygiene Solutions team in the Americas region.
Responsibilities
- Support and implement strategy alongside the sales team, focusing on best-in-class methods for total chemistry management solutions.
- Drive value creation in services offerings to develop new verticals and ensure consistent growth.
- Coordinate between New Ventures, Strategic Growth, and Sales Teams across a large commercial region.
- Provide external marketing, field-based support for the sales team, value creation, and monthly reporting on activities.
- Use internal tools like Salesforce to identify key opportunities.
- Serve as the primary contact for the local sales team for technical consultations.
- Handle general administrative tasks and daily support of business activities within a large commercial team.
Requirements
- Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with advanced knowledge of product lines and expert status in a specialization.
- Strong understanding of paper process chemistry; experience with retention/drainage chemistries is a plus.
- Expert-level knowledge of applications specific to your area of specialization.
- Prior commercial experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced understanding of the papermaking process and finished grade knowledge.
- Ability to develop effective chemical program recommendations and proposals.
- Skill in performing statistical data analysis to evaluate program performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and support corporate and product line strategies.
- Willingness to travel (minimum 50%).

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $133,000 to $150,000 per year, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. The actual starting salary is determined by factors such as relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and business needs.
