About the role
This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the US. As an Application Solution Architect within Kinaxis’s Professional Services, Innovation, and Data Science Services team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Product, R&D, Data Services, and Professional Services to deliver end-to-end customer projects for Enterprise Scheduling and advanced planning capabilities. You will design scalable, high-quality solution architectures to solve complex supply chain challenges, ensuring cohesive integration of supply planning, detailed scheduling, and operational execution.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the Enterprise Scheduling (ES) solution architecture, including functional design, data structures, constraint models, integrations, and system behavior, partnering with the Solution Architect to ensure alignment with the end-to-end solution.
- Serve as the primary solution architect for ES-only implementations.
- Facilitate detailed scheduling blueprint sessions to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable configurations, including heuristics, dispatch rules, look-ahead behavior, changeover logic, and constraint-resolution strategies.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful deployments.
- Troubleshoot complex scheduling behavior, resolve data configuration issues, and provide root-cause analysis with recommended configuration patterns.
- Provide functional leadership to solve complex supply chain challenges and support implementation efforts.
- Mentor consultants and partners on solution quality, scheduling implementation methods, repeatable architecture patterns, and deployment best practices, while overseeing task delegation.
- Collaborate with Product teams to address feature gaps, influence roadmap discussions, and share customer insights and best practices.
- Support services sales opportunities by articulating solution approaches and value to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software implementation consulting within supply chain planning or execution, including 3+ years as a solution architect or lead functional consultant for enterprise-scale supply chain transformation projects.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills to guide discussions across planners, schedulers, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments with strong initiative and leadership capabilities.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to synthesize complex information and guide teams toward high-quality solutions.
- Proven interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills within cross-functional teams.
Skills
- Subject matter expertise in supply chain concepts, best practices, and scheduling applications (e.g., OMP, SAP PPDS, Blue Yonder, o9 Production Scheduling).
- Experience producing detailed blueprints that translate scheduling requirements into technical specifications during software implementations.
- Technical leadership in data integration, data management, system configuration, and deployment for supply chain software implementations.
- Proficiency with SQL, JavaScript, or scripting languages used in solution configuration.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% to 75% annually.
