Application Programmer III

Location: Plano, TX

About the role

Provide production support in a high-volume environment, troubleshooting issues independently and efficiently. You will be part of the Production Support department supporting offshore support teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilize solid Unix skills, including Bash scripting, to automate and optimize workflows.
• Apply strong SQL skills to analyze and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data integrity and quality.
• Support Hadoop environments, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization, with exposure to Spark development.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments with Bash scripting experience.
• Solid SQL language skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, including production support and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Spark development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong data and code analysis skills, with a focus on data quality and root cause analysis.
• Decent Java and Python skills are considered a bonus.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Cucumber is a plus.
