Responsibilities
- Implement application integration capabilities in support of a large-scale platform modernization program delivered through iterative agile execution.
- Develop, configure, test, and support RESTful APIs, service integrations, messaging flows, data transformation logic, orchestration components, and interface services connecting legacy Java applications with cloud-native or microservices platforms.
- Work under guidance to apply architecture patterns, API standards, security, and data integration approaches.
- Select and implement integration patterns including synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven integration, batch processing, and workflow orchestration.
- Design secure AWS access and connectivity with IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC, resource policies, and secure API exposure.
- Establish operational visibility through CloudWatch metrics, logging, alarms, distributed tracing, and operational runbooks.
- Support deployment and operations with strategies for deployment, rollback, incident response, capacity management, and cost considerations.
- Implement secure integrations using OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWT, or similar standards.
- Support event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing with SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kafka, or similar.
- Develop and support Oracle databases and SQL activities including query development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, resolve dependencies, and support testing.
- Document technical details, interface behavior, data mappings, API contracts, and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot defects, interoperability issues, data quality problems, API errors, authentication, database performance, cloud service issues, and deployment challenges.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release planning, and operational transition activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to increase reliability, reduce manual effort, and improve platform maintainability.
