Application Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you'll design, deploy, and maintain VMware on-prem private cloud environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS, vSAN, and lifecycle management. You'll also manage servers such as Windows, Linux, or Mac, and have experience with vSphere administration, networking, and virtual environments.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact with clients via email and phone

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining VMware on-prem private cloud environments
• 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining VMware NSX or NSX-T for micro-segmentation, routing, and software-defined networking
• 3+ years of experience with VMware virtualization best practices for performance, resilience, and security in enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience managing servers such as Windows, Linux, or Mac
• Secret clearance

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• Nice to have: 3+ years of experience managing top of rack switching networks through vendors such as Cisco and Juniper, 2+ years of experience with scripting, including Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Python, Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems, Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code

Skills

• Experience with vSphere administration, networking, server management, and virtual environments
• Experience communicating and interacting with clients via email and phone

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Employees working from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
