About the role
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated individual to join our Analytics Division as an Application Infrastructure (MLOps) Developer. This role offers a merit-based work-from-home program with the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week after initial in-person training. All candidates must have the ability to work in Lansing, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Development and support of software application infrastructure for new or existing systems
- Application deployment automation
- Repository maintenance
- Application security
- Scripting and performance monitoring
- Third-party software administration
- Collaboration with key internal stakeholders such as software engineers, system administrators, database administrators, security engineers, and test automation engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (required)
- Candidates without a four-year degree but with several years of relevant experience may also be considered
- Ability to learn and effectively use tools and development techniques as practiced within the Analytics Division
- Object-oriented development experience (Python, C#, and/or Java) is strongly preferred
- Experience with SQL, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, PowerShell, and/or SSRS/SSIS is preferred
- Experience with machine learning operations tools such as MLFlow, SageMaker, or model deployment pipelines is preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
