This role combines implementation expertise, process analysis, customer collaboration, and deep understanding of clinical research operations. It requires strong analytical capabilities, customer engagement skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Guiding customers through successful technology implementations by understanding business processes, designing optimized workflows, and supporting adoption of clinical research solutions.
- Developing deep expertise in software applications, integrations, reporting capabilities, and workflows within clinical research environments.
- Partnering with customers to understand existing business processes and translate operational needs into effective technology solutions.
- Analyzing current workflows and designing future-state processes using structured mapping and documentation techniques.
- Create use cases, define business requirements, and document application scenarios to support successful implementations.
- Providing subject matter expertise and recommendations for customer enhancement requests.
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and support implementation activities.
- Aiding in technical responses for prospective customer requests and solution evaluations.
- Building strong relationships with customer project teams to ensure successful adoption and implementation outcomes.
- Advising customers on best practices for integrating technology solutions into clinical research operations.
- Working alongside project managers to track milestones and ensure timely delivery of implementation objectives.
- Supporting internal stakeholders with product knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare technology, with clinical research experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business processes.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
- Strong presentation skills with confidence communicating technical concepts to different audiences.
- Experience with clinical research systems such as EDC, EMR/EHR, or related platforms.
- Strong understanding of Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and clinical research workflows.
- Experience with eClinical solutions such as eRegulatory, eSource, and eConsent is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of system integrations involving CTMS, EMR, EDC, EMPI, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of operational and regulatory reporting requirements within clinical research.
- Familiarity with clinical research financial processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
