Application Engineering Technical Lead - I

You will get to work on key initiatives for Vanguard. We are is looking for a Technical lead to help build a world-class digital user experience for our clients. In this role, you will work on a cross-functional scrum team, collaborating directly with product owners, designers, developers, scrum leads and architects to test, build and iterate on the latest products for our clients. You will build relationships, enhance your technical expertise and be a part of continuous improvement and innovation in engineering. You will get to lead and coach other developers. If you have - Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or JavaHands-on experience building UI applications with Angular, React, or StencilExperience designing and operating systems on AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, API Gateway)Experience designing and building REST and/or GraphQL APIsExperience with observability tools (Splunk, Honeycomb)Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD (Bitbucket, Bamboo)Solid understanding of client-side architecture, design patterns, data structures, and dependency injectionExperience with agent-based systems (Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph)Experience working with LLMs/SLMs (Claude, Gemini, LLaMA)A positive can-do attitudeWilling to learn and growPassion to lead and be a better leader then you should apply for this role. Core Responsibilities Lead technical design and implementation across applications and servicesDefine and review architecture, design decisions, and engineering standardsGuide developers on system design, code quality, and best practicesIdentify and resolve complex technical issues; perform root cause analysisEnsure systems meet requirements for scalability, reliability, and securityDrive improvements in architecture, tooling, and development processesCommunicate technical decisions and trade-offs to stakeholdersReview and approve technical documentation and design artifactsParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing strategy Qualifications 6+ years related work experience, with at least one year of development experience.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
