Application Engineering Internship - Summer 2027

About the role

Springs Window Fashions is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Commercial Team as an Application Engineering Intern. This paid internship provides an exciting opportunity to assist with project support while gaining valuable work experience related to your chosen field of study. The program is known for in-depth, challenging project work with cross-functional teams, as well as professional development, job shadowing, and other growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize analysis software used by architects, engineers, and consultants to optimize buildings for energy efficiency, occupant health, and sustainability.
• Create simulations with shades including:
  • Daylight optimization
  • Thermal & Energy Modeling
  • Occupant comfort
  • Site & Urban radiation
  • Green Certification compliance
  • Carbon Tracking
• Assist in training architectural engineers to create simulations optimizing and analyzing buildings.

Requirements

• Pursuing a 4-year degree with preferred current standing of Sophomore/Junior level in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related major.
• Previous internship experience in a relevant function preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and attention to detail).
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
