About the role
As an Application Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our sales team’s efforts to drive automation and control growth. This position is tailored for emerging professionals eager to learn and contribute to cutting-edge technology solutions. You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced application engineers, gaining valuable insights into automation solutions, energy audits, kitting and assembly, and on-site engineering services.
Location: South Carolina
Responsibilities
- Support industrial end-user accounts, systems integrators, panel builders, and OEM customers
- Stay current with new product development and relay information to customers
- Help the Account Manager develop new customer relationships
- Drive automation and control growth, including PLCs, drives, sensors, HMIs, etc.
- Complete required vendor training, including certification-level courses
- Conduct customer training on automation and control products
- Attend training as required by Capital Electric
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred)
- Experience with PLCs, drives, sensor setups, etc. (preferred)
- Customer service background (a plus)
