Core Responsibilities And Tasks

• Work primarily with the direct sales team.
• Review RFQs and technical specifications.
• Perform process design calculations.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Prepare mass balances and water balances.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and pump sizing.
• Equipment selection and material selection which can be used for costing.
• Identify technical and commercial risks.
• Develop conceptual, budgetary and firm proposals.
• Present technical solutions to customers.
• Support bid/no-bid and go/no-go decisions.
• Train and mentor other engineers.

Position Requirements

• Requires BS/BA degree in Chemical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ yrs of relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge of business tools, processes and procedures.
• Technical expert in understanding water treatment processes to achieve customer desired outcome.
• Advanced competency in all standard equipment platforms and their employment.
• Able to source and apply advanced 3rd party components in new applications.
• Able to lead others in the execution of complex tasks and projects.
• Effectively collaborates with other disciplines in a team environment.
• Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences the outcome.
• Solid understanding of financial principles related to proposals, costing, business outcome and risk mitigation.
• Solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
• Advanced ability to develop execution strategy and guide others while mitigating business risk.
• Possesses excellent communications skills and can effectively present advanced technical information in a customer setting.
• Counsels and motivates others to achieve greater results.
