About the Role
We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor known for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, engineering applications, and automated control systems.
Responsibilities
- Executes project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
- Participates in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses, and monitoring tools with the customer's IT Department personnel.
- Runs complex reports to analyze system operation, works with the project team to demonstrate system operation, and verifies consistency with the contracted scope of work.
- Develops written sequences of operation based on mechanical drawings.
- Analyzes systems and develops scope of work for controls implementation, creates control algorithms, downloads source code to controllers, and manages databases.
- Gives technical presentations on building automation, controls, and emerging technology, with experience in multiple systems integration.
- Participates in final inspection and testing, assures customer acceptance, and conducts training for end-user customers on system operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
- Strong networking background required.
- 8+ years of direct automation experience with control system architecture design and programming required.
- 6+ years of experience with Niagara AX/N4, Distech, Delta, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of Direct Digital Controls, BACnet, MODbus, Tridium, Schneider, and Delta required.
- Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems, from Unitary Systems to Central Plants.
- Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance desired.
Pay
Compensation Range: $54 - $68 per hour
