We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually the posting includes sections: Job Description Summary, About Us, Why We Come to Work, Roles And Responsibilities, Required Qualifications, Desired Characteristics, Additional Information (which includes pay, benefits, etc). We must use

for section headings: e.g., About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. However we need to map content to these headings appropriately. The instruction: "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we should produce headings like

About the role

,

Responsibilities

,

Requirements

,

Qualifications

,

Skills

,

Benefits

,

Pay

,

Schedule

. But we should only include sections when posting has real specific content. We need to preserve all substantive info. We need to decide what content goes where. - About the role: could be the Job Description Summary and maybe About Us? The "About the role" likely corresponds to the summary of role: "The Application Engineer serves as the technical engine..." and maybe "Why We Come to Work"? But we can put the summary and maybe the "About Us" as company description? However the instruction says do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it). So we can have About the role heading with content from Job Description Summary and maybe About Us? But About Us is more about company; maybe we could put that under About the role? Or we could have separate sections like "About the company" but not in list. Since only allowed headings are those examples, we might need to fit content into those categories. We have: - Responsibilities: from Roles And Responsibilities bullet list. - Requirements: maybe from Required Qualifications. - Qualifications: maybe from Desired Characteristics? Or we could combine Required Qualifications and Desired Characteristics under Qualifications? But we have both Requirements and Qualifications headings; we could put Required Qualifications under Requirements, and Desired Characteristics under Qualifications (or Skills). However Skills heading could be for skills like communication, etc. - Benefits: from Additional Information benefits list. - Pay: from pay range info. - Schedule: maybe from travel %? Or remote position? The posting mentions "Up to 25% travel based on the business needs" and "This is a remote position". That could be schedule info. So we can put Schedule heading with travel and remote. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, legal, etc. Also remove duplicated lines, cookie/navigation etc. Also remove application instructions (deadline, etc). We should preserve substantive info: pay range, benefits, etc. We must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". The pay range is specific: $104,200.00 to $173,700.00, plus geographic differential etc. That's substantive. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's structure:

About the role

Job Description Summary: The Application Engineer serves as the technical engine between our customers and internal commercial teams, driving precision in the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) lifecycle. You will architect technical solutions, optimize system configurations, and deliver high-accuracy proposals that accelerate GSI service outcomes. Your primary mandate is to synchronize customer requirements with GE Vernova technical standards. You will provide specialized support for Installation & Construction services, ensuring seamless integration within our Engineer, Procure, and Construct (EPC) project portfolio.

About Us: Come power the change. Build the future. Grid Solutions, a cornerstone of the GE Vernova portfolio, powers a global energy ecosystem with over 12,000 innovators committed to excellence. We deliver the advanced equipment, systems, and services required to transport electricity reliably and efficiently from generation to the end consumer. We are the backbone of the modern grid—electrifying the world and accelerating the global transition to sustainable energy. GE Vernova is a dynamic accelerator uniting our Power, Wind, Electrification, and Digital businesses. We are leading a new era of energy: electrifying the world while simultaneously driving decarbonization. If you are ready to apply your energy to the world’s most critical challenges and architect the next era of power, join us.

Why We Come to Work: At GE Vernova, our engineers are relentless in the pursuit of the best solution. We tackle unique, complex challenges that demand a solution-focused, positive mindset. Surrounded by a committed team, you will apply your ingenuity to game-changing, diverse projects that play a vital role in the global energy transition.

But maybe we should keep it concise; but we must preserve all substantive info. The above includes all substantive from those sections. Next:

Responsibilities

  • Technical Proposal Development: Translate complex customer inquiries into actionable, high-quality technical proposals, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • ITO Process Optimization: Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to streamline RFQ processes, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to GE Vernova standards.
  • Solution Engineering: Analyze site-specific requirements and legacy data to recommend optimal service solutions, upgrades, or modernization paths.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Engineering, Sourcing, and Project Management to validate cost estimates, lead times, and resource availability pre-submission.
  • Risk Mitigation: Conduct early-stage technical risk assessments to identify design or service challenges within the commercial process.
  • Tooling & Standards: Maintain and optimize the technical library, costing models, and configuration tools used during the proposal phase.
  • Development of strategic spare parts to be supplied through our projects. Will include the identification, qualification, and creation of the parts with SAP.
Note: The last bullet had a period inside; we keep as is. Next:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Field Service operations.
  • Up to 25% travel based on the business needs.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, single-line diagrams, data sheets, and performance specifications for high-voltage assets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Substation Construction Expertise: Demonstrated experience in the construction and engineering of substation projects, with a strong grasp of Electrical Balance of Plant (eBOP) equipment (e.g., power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnects, P&C systems).
  • Strong understanding of the Power Generation/Services industry and ITO/OTR workflows.
But note travel is also schedule; we might move travel to Schedule. However we have a Schedule section later; we could keep travel under Requirements but it's also schedule. The instruction: we should not duplicate content. We need to decide where to place travel. Since we have a Schedule heading, we should put travel and remote info there. So we should remove travel from Requirements. Thus Requirements list excludes travel. Now:

Qualifications

We could put Desired Characteristics here.
  • Expertise in large-scale substation proposal development, including full-turnkey EPC/EPCI solutions and civil works.
  • Experience estimating engineering design packages (drawings, calculations, studies, BOMs) and applying cost engineering theory.
  • Working knowledge of HV/EHV substation physical design, foundation design, and site preparation.
  • Proven background in construction, field testing, and commissioning.
  • Technical proficiency in the design of T&D equipment, electrical substations, and protection devices.
  • A "Passion to Win" mindset—proactively identifying ways to improve hit rates and developing technical strategies based on defined customer Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements.
Alternatively we could split Skills heading for communication etc. But we already have communication under Requirements. Could also put under Skills. But we have both Requirements and Qualifications; we could put communication under Skills. However we already placed communication under Requirements; maybe better to move to Skills. Let's restructure: Requirements: education, years experience, substation expertise, proficiency interpreting drawings, strong understanding of industry. Skills: communication, passion to win, etc. But we also have Desired Characteristics which are more like qualifications/skills. Let's decide: - Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, 3–5+ years experience, Substation Construction Expertise, Proficiency interpreting technical drawings, Strong understanding of Power Generation/Services industry and ITO/OTR workflows. - Skills: Excellent communication skills, Expertise in large-scale substation proposal development, Experience estimating engineering design packages, Working knowledge of HV/EHV substation physical design, Proven background in construction, field testing, and commissioning, Technical proficiency in design of T&D equipment, electrical substations, and protection devices, A "Passion to Win" mindset. But we also have Desired Characteristics list includes those items; we can treat them as Skills. Thus we will have:
