Application Engineer

Job Summary

As our Application Engineer, you will provide technical sales support to secure existing and future business, including visiting customer sites. Your responsibilities will involve actively gathering information needed to make new designs, collaborating with engineering on new product designs, and supporting sales on new opportunities.

About the Role

Reporting to the R&D Manager in our Business Unit TenEx, supporting the Expander brand, you will work closely with engineering to understand customer requirements and pain points, communicate these to co-workers, and provide technical solutions. You will also collaborate with engineering on new product designs and support sales on new opportunities, including visiting customer sites.

Requirements & Desired Characteristics

• A background of working with heavy equipment, experience of field service or previous work as an engineer or technician is positive.
• Able to work under time deadlines with attention to details.
• Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, as well as sound judgement, professionalism, confidentiality, and good decision-making skills.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
