Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, Node.JS, AWS CLI, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Integrate REST APIs and third-party UI libraries/services.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable front-end solutions for new development and enhancement projects.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code while implementing unit tests and supporting test automation.
• Employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.
• Elevate code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule.
• Provide follow-up production support. Submit change control requests and documentation. Resolve elevated issues.
• Deploy front-end applications across development, testing, and production environments. Provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and participate in release and change management activities.
• Thoroughly understand software development methodology. Thoroughly understand development architecture standards.
• Train and mentor staff with less experience.
• Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
• Explain technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients.
• Perform systems analysis activities.
• Maintain knowledge of organizational tools, frameworks, and technologies used across the application ecosystem.
• Understand business requirements and users need to deliver intuitive, high-performance user experiences.
• Participate in UI/UX design reviews, code reviews, testing activities, and sprint ceremonies.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and QA teams to identify and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of development experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
