Job Responsibilities
- Take a proactive approach in partnering with contract sales, component sales, systems, engineering, and project management to provide customers with competitive and accurate proposals.
- Develop new designs to meet customer or marketing specifications.
- Document designs using the appropriate format to company and/or customer standards.
- Provide guidance to other departments: manufacturing, engineering, customer service, through the life of the project.
- Process inbound RFQ’s from the company’s sales team.
- Prepare and issue written quotes to customers.
- Enter orders into CRM for all contract jobs.
- Process and perform development project testing.
- Accompany sales personnel to conduct field measuring and/or attend customer meetings.
- Provide guidance/status updates to customers and other departments: Engineering, Contract Sales, Sales Representatives of the contracted job.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD, 3D Solid Modeling or other drawing software desired. (CATIA, Inventor and AutoCAD skills are preferred).
- Strong mechanical design skills with an ability to read and layout mechanical drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $70,000 to $80,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
