Application Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an Image Sensor Hardware Applications Engineer to support customers with product integration, troubleshooting, and technical demonstrations for advanced imaging and sensor systems. This role combines hands-on engineering, customer support, and technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with hardware setup, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain user guides, application notes, scripts, and demonstration materials.
• Develop example code for camera and sensor products.
• Test and evaluate new product features.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and customer training.
• Partner with sales teams to support customer needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, electronics, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with image sensors and imaging systems.
• Python programming experience.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with root cause analysis and failure investigations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
