Application Engineer-Aftermarket-Remote
About the role
The Application Engineer-Aftermarket is a subject matter expert in machine capabilities, processes, and performance requirements. Technically aids the global sales force, customers, and potential customers to grow parts and service sales with customers. Help develop other resources within the Aftermarket Services team, and lead growth, execution, and customer satisfaction plans.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex parts and service proposals
- Create new part numbers in JDE for legacy items not transferred from Syteline or for part numbers that exist in other JBT ERP's (ICS and/or SNK)
- Assist sales and customers with technical questions that may require research and consultation
- Manage customers with warranty or performance issues post-equipment installation or post-retrofit. This includes site visits for troubleshooting and expediting parts. Additionally, it involves coordinating additional Service technician visits and managing the customer's expectations during this prove-out period.
- Develop department procedures required to ensure parts and service margin performance within department sales goals
- Assist sales and customers with technical questions requiring research and consultation and follow-up with customers on critical parts and service orders and shipments
- Report potential sales activity from customer follow-ups or customer's reason for not pursuing purchase
- Work multiple shifts to support international customers, and after-hours emergencies
- Aid Sales with gathering technical/product information in preparation for presentations
- Conduct technical presentations for sales calls with Aftermarket Sales or solo
- Prepare technical support information such as feature/benefit summaries, utility calculations, solution and competitor comparisons, economic analysis
Qualifications
- 5 Years experience in Food or related Industry or build to order in related machine or system design
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Industrial Technology
- You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

- Technical expertise in machine capabilities, processes, and performance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage customer relationships and resolve technical issues
- Proficiency in JDE and other relevant ERP systems

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 annually. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
