Job Summary

At PGE, we are seeking an Application Developer / Senior Application Developer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. This role is open to both Mid-Career and Senior level candidates, with the level determined by qualifications, experience, and skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.

  • Takes part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work.

  • Maintains application support processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.

  • Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.

  • Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents.

  • Facilitates recovery following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.

  • Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services. Determines problem fixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.

  • Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems.

  • Defines the integration build, accepts software modules from software developers and produces software builds for loading onto the target environment.

  • Configures the hardware environment, produces integration test specifications and conducts tests, recording details of any failures and carrying out fault diagnosis.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, management or other related field or equivalent experience.

  • Typically, five or more years in related field for Mid-Career level, eight or more years for Senior level.

  • Required Experience: Identity Access Management (IAM), Authentication and Authorization, Identity Governance Administration (IGA), Access Certifications (manager, application owner, role-based, advanced certification configs), Lifecycle events - joiner/mover/leaver automation, Java/JavaScript programming, SailPoint IIQ.

  • Preferred Experience: Privileged Access Management (PAM), Idira (CyberArk), Regulatory frameworks such as SOX or CIP, Single Sign-On (SSO) – SAML, OAuth, and SCIM, Utility Experience, PingFederate, PingOne/Davinci, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
