Application Developer

We’re looking for an experienced Application Developer to design, develop, and support critical internal systems that drive operational efficiency and long-term digital innovation. You’ll translate business needs into scalable technical solutions in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal software systems and applications
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Write clean, scalable code and support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify technical solutions to business challenges
• Support database development, reporting, and data analysis
• Contribute to regular software releases within an agile environment
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members

Requirements

• Strong experience with JavaScript and modern development practices
• Experience working with SQL / PSQL and database design or data modelling
• Knowledge of application development using technologies such as C#, .NET, Delphi, VB, or low-code platforms
• Experience developing commercial or enterprise applications used by professionals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to gather requirements and design solutions collaboratively
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL Server or Supabase
• User interface design skills and an understanding of usability principles
• Experience building dashboards, reports, or data visualisations
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers
• Exposure to education, public sector, or mission-led organisations
