About the Role

This Work from Home position requires that you live and perform the duties within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (locations include FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA).

The Application Developer will analyze, design, and implement complex database and web applications to support Parallon/HCA development solutions. The role involves reviewing requirements and crafting technical design documentation for future scalability, interoperability, and reduced maintenance. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a history of technical growth and team leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Development & Documentation
    • Understand business requirements and translate them into new application features.
    • Design, develop, and test internal Parallon web applications.
    • Assist with the design and coding of software from concept to finished product to meet Parallon operations needs.
    • Perform system analysis, design, development, and support of MS SQL Server in Production, QA, and Development environments.
    • Develop high-quality, well-factored code and write integration and UI automation tests.
    • Create and maintain application documentation in Confluence.
    • Collaborate with Senior Developers, Consulting Developers, Solution Architects, Product Analysts, and operations to gather requirements and understand business needs.
    • Utilize version control tools such as GitHub.
  • Leadership and Planning
    • Lead meetings with clear purpose, ensuring documentation of outcomes, action items, and next steps.
    • Adhere to the CSO Thematic Goal: Own IT, Drive IT, Be IT.
    • Manage application support and relationships, providing 3rd level system support for applications.
    • Create and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and operations.
    • Engage with external teams to identify and resolve issues.
    • Troubleshoot and respond to system issues as necessary.
    • Follow Parallon Change Management policy and procedures; create/execute change control tickets for all production changes.
    • Participate in on-call rotation and assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Continuous Team and Process Improvement
    • Continuously review, propose, and execute opportunities to optimize processes affecting included solutions.
    • Ensure systems are developed robustly, reliably, and maintainably from the start using techniques such as unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing, and system monitoring.
    • Follow technical and development standards when developing database and web components.
    • Actively build technical knowledge through internal mentoring and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience as a full stack .NET developer.
  • Microsoft Certified (preferred).
  • SQL & C# experience (preferred).
