Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, validate, and support clinical and/or revenue cycle applications.
- Obtain appropriate Epic certification and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality and clinical/revenue cycle workflows.
- Provide tier III level support for Epic clinical and/or revenue cycle applications on a 24/7 basis.
- Implement configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by the appropriate committee.
- Work with clinical/financial department representatives to design future-state workflows and build the system to support new workflows.
- Represent the Information Services team in establishing and maintaining critical business relationships with fellow Piedmont co-workers, physicians, and others using or interacting with the Epic application suite.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory or related field, or In Lieu of degree or clinical licensure, four (4) years of experience in business administration, information technology or science, healthcare or related field.
- Experience: Three (3) years of healthcare or IT experience, including one (1) year of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) application experience, or In lieu of degree or clinical licensure, seven (7) years of healthcare or IT experience, including one (1) year of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) application experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current Epic certification, or Active Epic proficiency with a score of 90.
