Application Consultant - Atlanta, GA - Contract - $51-61 per HR This position involves working in a hybrid environment in the Charlotte/Atlanta region. The role is a contract position that requires expertise in backend development, API and microservices architecture, and distributed systems. Candidates should have experience with generic cloud technologies and a strong understanding of workflow orchestration. Key Responsibilities Develop scalable backend services using a generic programming language framework. Design and implement API orchestration and microservices architecture. Ensure system reliability and resiliency through effective retry mechanisms and failure handling. Optimize performance using caching technologies for request deduplication and rate limiting. Conduct thorough unit and integration testing to validate complex workflows and recovery logic. Qualifications 5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on scalable services. Strong expertise in designing distributed systems and understanding concurrency models. Proven experience in workflow orchestration and state machine design. Experience with performance optimization and caching technologies. Background in unit and integration testing, including failure scenarios.
