On-siteInformation TechnologyFull-time
Main Responsibilities
- Write, maintain, and optimise SQL/MySQL queries and MOCA scripts to support WMS operations, investigate data issues, and resolve system problems at the backend layer.
- Work directly within the Blue Yonder WMS environment – understanding data structures, configuration tables, and system behavior at the application layer.
- Support Blue Yonder TMS at the backend level – understanding TMS data models, configuration, and the WMS-TMS integration layer; understanding of Oracle-to-MySQL databases for TMS.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with WMS MOCA development and configuration, together with knowledge of TMS job configuration, backend processing, and scheduling concepts.
- Act as application owner and system administrator as part of the Application Management team, supporting global continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring solution stability and governance.
- Manage regional and global templates, acting as gatekeeper of the solution to ensure it does not stray from the standard upgrade path.
- Continuously fine-tune WMS and TMS system configuration to align with evolving operational requirements.
- Ensure requests for service, system support, and system developments are addressed appropriately and in a timely and professional manner.
- Integration monitoring and failure troubleshooting across WMS, TMS, and connected systems (SAP, Centiro, iReport, NiceLabel, Telogis/PC Miler) – focus on root cause identification and permanent error resolution.
- Release management: Blue Yonder WMS/TMS, Centiro, NiceLabel, iReport, Telogis/PC Miler upgrades; JDA patches and hotfixes; interface changes; labels and reports.
- Implement successful regional initiatives globally and facilitate regular coordination sessions with regional teams to identify system issues, prioritize improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Involved in end-to-end configuration and testing cycles.
- Keep up to date on application trends and technologies to ensure SMRT P&S Logistics continuously improves process efficiency and customer service effectiveness.
- Improve existing and develop new logistics and supply chain solutions within SMRT P&S Logistics.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL and MySQL skills are non-negotiable: you must be able to independently write queries, scripts, and data fixes against WMS and TMS backend databases.
- Oracle SQL knowledge is also required given the current TMS environment.
- Hands-on experience with MOCA scripting or equivalent backend scripting within the Blue Yonder WMS environment – including reading, writing, and debugging scripts.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with the Blue Yonder WMS backend – including system configuration, data structures, and technical troubleshooting at the application and database layer; functional-only WMS knowledge is not sufficient for this role.
- Strong understanding of system integrations and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across connected platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in functional logistics areas such as shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations – to provide context for the technical work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant hands-on technical experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward permanent fixes over workarounds.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) – able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Experience working with application databases, backend configurations, and integration troubleshooting within enterprise supply chain applications.
Preferred / Strong Advantage
- Knowledge of Blue Yonder TMS is a strong advantage, particularly familiarity with TMS backend data models, job configuration concepts, database structures, and how TMS and WMS interact through integration layers.
- Experience with or exposure to Oracle database environments, particularly in the context of a TMS or logistics application – relevant given our current Oracle-to-MySQL migration for TMS.
- Working knowledge of connected systems such as Centiro, iReport, NiceLabel, or Telogis/PC Miler.
- Proven track record of identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions that drive measurable efficiency gains (WMS/TMS).
