About the role
The Applications Systems Analyst IV is responsible for executing highly complex or specialized projects, integrating new technology, and ensuring systems meet regulatory compliance. They coordinate activities between technical and application teams, collaborate with IT managers and colleagues, and support the configuration and implementation of applications/solutions.
Responsibilities
- Mentor Analysts I, II, and III
- Utilize ITIL framework in incident, change, and problem management services
- Lead by example, motivate, and promote positive team morale
- Collaborate with business and clinical personnel to identify, document, and meet business information needs
- Design, develop, analyze, and implement information systems that meet project objectives
- Conduct studies and analysis as required to support business and project objectives
- Develop and document system requirements
- Facilitate current state and future state documentation and develop gap analysis as needed
- Select and purchase hardware and related equipment that meet business needs
- Make sound recommendations and assist in implementing processes and workflows that enhance system applications and facilitate quality improvement initiatives
- Integrate computer systems and processes across functions/business units
- Assume project leadership responsibility or assist other project leaders as required
- Collaborate effectively with project team members, end-users, and leadership, applying project management principles
- Ensure a smooth and thorough turnover process to technical and operational support, including documentation
- Maintain an expert in-depth knowledge of the application and the departments using the application
- Develop and provide training to users
- Resolve daily problems and issues, acting as a resource and mentor to other departments and application systems analysts
- Generate accurate and timely reports, ensuring data validity
- Perform system tests and audits, making recommendations for resolution of system issues or establishing new procedures
- Assist in the technical development of staff in their area, identifying on-the-job training, formal training, and work assignments
- Understand and practice AIT values and CI CARE principles
- Adhere to AtlantiCare and AIT Policies and Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, nursing, or related field required (or 2 additional years of related experience can be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
- Master's degree preferred
- 6 years related experience required
- Clinical/financial experience as it relates to healthcare IT required
- Licenses/Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
