Application Analyst
About the role
An experienced Application Analyst role focused on supporting enterprise asset management systems through issue triage, SQL data analysis, and system troubleshooting. This position involves collaborating with field teams and IT stakeholders to optimize system performance, usability, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for enterprise Asset Management applications, serving as the primary contact for business users to troubleshoot issues and ensure effective system utilization.
- Perform SQL-based analysis to triage and resolve system and data issues, validating data, and identifying root causes in coordination with IT and vendor partners.
- Partner with field operations, Asset Management, and other stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate needs into system improvements.
- Support testing, validation, and deployment of system fixes, enhancements, and new functionalities, ensuring alignment with business workflows.
- Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to prioritize issues, communicate impacts, and coordinate solutions.
- Analyze system usage and operational processes to recommend innovative solutions that enhance application and data effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including troubleshooting guides, job aids, and support procedures to promote user adoption and consistency.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, with a focus on asset management systems or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL, including writing queries for analysis and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a fleet organization or asset-intensive environment.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise applications like ERP, CMMS, or similar systems.
