Responsibilities
- Provide complex qualitative and quantitative analysis on data and information collected as part of application requirement gathering.
- Gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and create effective technical solutions for business needs.
- Design, validate, and confirm new or changed functionality with the supported application environment to meet customer specifications.
- Demonstrate ability to implement and manage small to medium-level projects.
- Show ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems.
- Afford assistance with the administrative, technical, and customer-facing duties surrounding the successful project implementation of system updates and changes.
- Consistently meet project deadlines and go above and beyond to ensure they are met.
- Keep all documentation up to date.
- Work closely with business users and application teams to design, build, and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test plan and scripts.
- Create and maintain test scripts in support of new installations, projects, and/or system updates.
- Act as the application subject matter expert (SME) when assigned to project teams.
- Serve as a liaison between end users, subject matter experts, and technical support.
- Provide on-call support 24/7.
- Maintain queues, event logs, and brokers and perform maintenance as required.
- Monitor interfaces with external systems.
- Create ad hoc reports per user specifications.
Scope, Purpose, and Frequency of Contacts
Frequent interaction with IT staff and end-users, including health system staff, management, or physicians.
Experience Required
- 6-10 years' experience required.
- Experience with FDB or Medispan.
- Experience with Omnicell or Pyxis Pharmacy or clinical background.
- Familiarity with med load and willow inpatient charging, including updates for HCPCS, medication costs, and regulatory modifiers.
- Decision Support experience a plus.
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Education Requirements
- High School/GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Special Requirements
- Epic Willow Certification preferred.
- Certified Pharm Tech preferred.
- Not Required.
- Healthcare experience in hospital, medical practice, or health system preferred.
- Application specific certification/proficiency within 90 days of hire if applicable required.
