Application Admin I

About the Role

This position involves application administration for both Windows and Linux operating systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and patching. You will maintain strong relationships with application vendors, ensure application integrity, and drive cost-reduction initiatives through process optimization and system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform application troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Execute application upgrades and patching.
• Maintain good working relationships with application vendors.
• Ensure application integrity and identify creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes (e.g., task consolidation, elimination of non-value-added processes, or re-engineering systems).
• Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (e.g., Health, Safety, and Quality).
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding data, proprietary information, and IT systems.
• Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
• Provide regular updates to appropriate managers.
• Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting, analysis, and metrics management.
• Document application processes and procedures, ensuring they are efficient and non-redundant.
• Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement, implementing industry-standard practices.
• Understand and align with the business and IT strategic direction.
• Manage workload effectively and efficiently, including email and meeting attendance.
• Work with audit teams and adhere to compliance procedures.
• Respond to and participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Improve and keep skill sets relevant and up to date.
• Travel to and attend annual vendor conferences.
• Work irregular hours when needed.
