Appian Architect - Civilian

Key Responsibilities

• Guide clients on architecture design, integration, scalability, configuration management, DevSecOps, and other program initiatives to ensure technical success.
• Work with client enterprise architecture teams to design and deliver solutions tailored to their unique needs and ecosystems.
• Lead implementation teams through complex technical solutions using Appian and related technologies.
• Evaluate and integrate multi-tier architectures through integrations and system configurations.
• Implement internal processes and tools to enhance business efficiency.
• Create and document implementation best practices and knowledge base articles for internal use.
• Provide thought leadership on process improvement and mentoring, training, and enabling of resources.
• Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Appian solutions.
• 6+ years of related IT experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Active Appian Lead Certification.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery.
• Strong technical implementation skills.
• Strong database design and development skills.
• Experience evaluating and resolving issues during system security testing.
• Experience with Appian Cloud configuration and support processes.
• Experience implementing Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid platform deployments.
• Experience in network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to details, ability to work in a high-paced environment, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Prior experience working in the following technologies: RDBMS, authentication, web services, integrations and middleware, cloud computing/IaaS, source control.
• Preference given to candidates local to the DC Metro area.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel 0-15% to client meetings in Washington, DC area and Dallas, TX.

Benefits

• The salary range for this role takes into account various factors including skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certifications; and organizational needs.
• A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $113,230.00 - $200,508.00.
