Appellate Attorney - Los Angeles; San Diego; or San Francisco, CA
About the role
The Attorney will take appeals from notice of appeal through the end of the appellate process, including preparing written briefs and participating in oral arguments. This is a part-time position with an anticipated commitment of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Taking appeals from notice of appeal through the end of the appellate process
- Preparing written briefs
- Participating in oral arguments
Requirements
- 10+ years of practice experience
- An active California bar license
Qualifications
- Experience in all levels of appellate work in California appellate courts
- Preferably recognized California appellate “specialist”
- Experience in United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

- Strong academic credentials
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Salary range of $200-220k annually based on a full-time work schedule
- Compensation for part-time employees will be determined on a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours worked
