About the role

The Attorney will take appeals from notice of appeal through the end of the appellate process, including preparing written briefs and participating in oral arguments. This is a part-time position with an anticipated commitment of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Taking appeals from notice of appeal through the end of the appellate process
  • Preparing written briefs
  • Participating in oral arguments

Requirements

  • 10+ years of practice experience
  • An active California bar license

Qualifications

  • Experience in all levels of appellate work in California appellate courts
  • Preferably recognized California appellate “specialist”
  • Experience in United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

Skills

  • Strong academic credentials
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Benefits

  • Part-time position with 20 hours per week
  • Salary range of $200-220k annually based on a full-time work schedule
  • Compensation for part-time employees will be determined on a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours worked
