Overview of the Role

Our global retail client is seeking a Apparel Technical Designer to support women's apparel product creation within a leading global sportswear brand. This role owns garment fit, pattern development, and construction standards from concept through factory commercialization, partnering closely with Design, Product Management, Materials, and Manufacturing teams.

Basics

  • Duraton: Through March 2027

  • Location: Hybrid, Beaverton, OR

  • Onsite: 4 days onsite, remote Fridays

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical design experience supporting apparel from concept through production

  • Strong pattern making, garment construction, and fit expertise within lifestyle apparel

  • Strong communicator and collaborative partner

Portfolio Requirements

  • Examples demonstrating: Technical patterns and garment construction work

  • Fit development and technical specifications

  • Jackets, pants, denim, or hardwoven apparel

  • Factory-production-ready technical packages

  • Lifestyle or streetwear apparel product development

Key Responsibilities

  • Own fit and construction standards for assigned apparel styles

  • Create and maintain tech packs, specs, measurements, and construction details

  • Lead fit sessions, evaluate prototypes, and provide technical feedback

  • Develop production-ready patterns and factory documentation

  • Partner with Design and Product Creation teams to execute product vision

  • Track prototypes and manage development milestones through commercialization

  • Resolve construction, fit, and manufacturing challenges throughout development

  • Ensure products meet quality, performance, cost, and timeline expectations
