Apparel Technical Designer
About the role
We are seeking an Apparel Technical Designer for an on-site, hybrid role focused on the creation of men's and women's basketball uniforms. This position is for a contract opportunity. The successful candidate will join a direct team of technical designers and collaborate with a larger cross-functional team to bring apparel designs to life.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage technical packages (tech packs) from concept to production.
- Lead and participate in fit sessions to ensure garments meet design, quality, and fit standards.
- Create and refine patterns for apparel construction.
- Ensure all aspects of garment construction are accurate and meet specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.
- Manage timelines and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a technical design or pattern engineering role is required.
- Proficiency with pattern creation, tech pack development, garment construction, and conducting fit sessions is necessary.
- Experience with CLO and Adobe Illustrator is also required.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience with PCX, Miro, or Optitex is considered an advantage.
