About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Artist to join a Design Production Art team supporting performance apparel and sport-focused product categories. This role is ideal for a technically strong graphic designer who understands apparel production and can take creative direction and turn it into accurate, production-ready artwork and schematics. You’ll work closely with designers while independently managing production needs across the broader Design team. This is a hands-on production role rather than a primarily conceptual graphic design position.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain apparel, trim, and screenprint schematics.
  • Translate creative concepts and graphic designs into production-ready artwork.
  • Prepare detailed artwork for apparel and physical product applications.
  • Use Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to build, modify, and organize production files.
  • Ensure artwork meets technical specifications, dimensions, placement requirements, and production standards.
  • Partner with graphic designers and cross-functional teams to execute designs accurately.
  • Proactively identify production issues and recommend solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Support the broader Design team with production needs and technical execution.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and production-ready design files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional experience in graphic design and apparel production.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Hands-on experience creating apparel schematics, trim schematics, and screenprint schematics.
  • Understanding of apparel graphics and how designs translate into physical garments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within precise technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal direction.
  • Ability to support multiple designers and manage competing production priorities.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio demonstrating graphic design and apparel production work is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CLO 3D or other 3D apparel design software.
  • Knowledge of apparel construction, trims, embellishments, and garment decoration.
  • Experience with screen printing, color separation, pre-press, or other print-production processes.
  • Experience supporting athletic, performance, fashion, or sportswear apparel.
  • Experience working with Running, Training, Tennis, or other sport categories.
  • Experience in a fast-paced design organization supporting multiple stakeholders.

Portfolio Requirements

  • Your portfolio should demonstrate technical and production-focused design work, particularly examples involving:
  • Apparel graphics
  • Apparel schematics
  • Trim schematics
  • Screenprint graphics
  • Production artwork
  • Techical specifications
  • Graphic placement
  • Print production
  • Design process and execution

Portfolios focused primarily on branding, illustration, conceptual design, or art direction without apparel production work are less aligned with this opportunity.
