THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Apparel Product Line Sr. Merchandising Manager. This position will build and help drive the end-to-end strategy, design briefing, and commercialization of seasonal apparel collections, collaborating with design, development to deliver consumer-right products. They analyze market trends, manage product lifecycles, and align with financial goals to create, drive, and execute successful product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Create consumer-right product briefs, build line plans, and guide the product creation process from initial concept to final sample approval.
  • Analyze competitors, consumer trends, and business metrics (bookings, sell-through) to make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Partner with design, development, materials and marketing to ensure timely delivery and innovative apparel creation.
  • Maintain accuracy in data systems, including Visual Line Plans (VLPs) and product creation tools.
  • Partner with merchandising on product sell-in, ensuring that the product vision is effectively communicated to sales teams and partners.
  • Recruit, hire and onboard various team members and vendors.
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years+ experience in apparel product line management and product design/merchandising
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in apparel merchandising, product management, or retail buying.
  • Deep understanding of retail math, financial metrics, and consumer trends.
  • Extensive experience working and communicating with domestic and international manufacturers.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, supervision and direction to peers through development process.

  • Familiarity leading a team and working with a PLM system.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and must be able to actively and attentively listen.
  • Must be able to travel 30% of time.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments.
  • May work in drastic temperature climates.
  • Must be willing travel to work events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines.
