We are seeking a strategic and proactive professional to step into a pivotal role where you will be instrumental in shaping and executing sourcing strategies for critical materials, with a specific focus on woven textiles. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute materials sourcing strategies aligned with cost, quality, and lead-time objectives.
- Build and manage a global supplier network, with a strong focus on partners in Asia, fostering strong relationships and optimizing performance.
- Partner cross-functionally with development, planning, and costing teams to drive informed sourcing decisions that shape product outcomes.
- Lead seasonal execution and tracking, ensuring timelines and deliverables are consistently met and projects stay on course.
- Analyze complex data and synthesize key insights to provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders, guiding critical business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for supplier optimization, risk mitigation, and process improvement, continuously enhancing efficiency and resilience.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong attention to detail and consistently delivering exceptional results.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in materials sourcing, product sourcing, costing, manufacturing, or product development.
- A strong background in materials, including textiles, fabrics, and trims.
- Proven ability to effectively manage cross-functional stakeholders and collaborate across global teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive execution independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with international suppliers, particularly those based in Asia.
- Advanced Excel skills for robust data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Qualifications
- Experience in performance or athletic environments.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience sourcing woven materials or technical textiles.
- Background in large, matrixed organizations.
- Exposure to sustainability or supplier strategy initiatives.
