Apparel Designer / Senior Apparel Designer

Location: Onsite in Roslyn, NY

About the role

Apparel or Senior Apparel Designer responsible for day-to-day tasks including email follow-up, cross-department functionality, approvals, trend research, and fabric development.

Responsibilities

• Create flat sketches using Illustrator or Procreate
• Develop and maintain seasonal tech packs, filling out BOMs and Construction pages for sampling
• Participate in concept review, line-building recaps, and line review
• Communicate with overseas factories on sample development
• Assist in production approvals
• Maintain organization of samples, swatches, and design files

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a design role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, color concept, and fabrication
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; must be highly detail-oriented, creative, and team-oriented
