About the role
This job plans strategies and implements recruitment activities in order to fulfill system-wide physician staffing needs for all company locations, as well as for the private practices that admits patients to company hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements successful system-wide physician recruitment strategies for designated medical and surgical specialties/subspecialties in urban, suburban, and rural practices (including all company facilities and any practices that admit to company facilities).
- Pre-screens, qualifies, and compiles background information on physician candidates, sourced nationally and internationally.
- Makes hiring recommendations to regional medical directors and owners/partners of private practices.
- Maintains verbal/direct contact with candidates or leads.
- Communicates regularly across the system with hiring managers.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 8 years of experience in full life cycle recruitment OR 4 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree (required).
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) (preferred).

- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to be self-directed and exercise good judgment in handling difficult situations.
- Ability to travel frequently by car, air, etc., attend local, regional, and national meetings and conferences, and travel throughout and between facilities.
- Ability to work variable hours, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, etc.
Physical demands
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as a part of their employments, incumbents are not called up to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
- There is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
- Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
