Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner for a 9-week travel assignment in Bronx, NY.
About the Role

This role is flexible and can span a variety of clinical settings, focusing on delivering comprehensive medical care in collaboration with supervising or collaborating physicians and other healthcare team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and mental status assessments
- Formulate differential diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory work
- Prescribe medications and initiate therapies within scope of licensure
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed
- Communicate and coordinate with the complete patient care team
- Participate in team huddles, rounds, and case discussions
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and discharge processes
- Accurately document patient encounters, assessments, and care plans
- Educate patients, families, and team members on health promotion and disease prevention
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and institutional policies
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, in accordance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification for acute settings
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher in an accredited advanced practice educational program (preferred)
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending written instructions, following verbal instructions, and PC skills
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures
- Mental resilience to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or independently, and handle irregular schedules
