APP QuickCare - Otsego, Michigan

About the role

Bronson QuickCare in Otsego, MI is seeking PAs or NPs with at least 2 years ED, Primary Care or Urgent Care experience to work in an immediate care setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive and problem focused histories and physical examinations, interprets laboratory and radiologic tests.
• Interprets and correlates subjective and objective patient data, formulating a diagnosis.
• Under the direction of the physician, reviews patient findings and develops a treatment plan within the scope of practice.
• Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing (Utilizing SBAR technique).
• Coordinates care with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate implementation of patients’ progress towards outcomes, which includes discharge or transfer of care.
• Acts as a clinical resource for the multi-disciplinary team.
• Performs an initial comprehensive assessment of the patient to determine if the patient requires a higher intensity of service and requires transfer to a hospital setting.
• Facilitates timely discharges/transfers to the appropriate level of care.
• Evaluates and appropriately manages patients. Evaluates lab, EKG, imaging studies.
• Completes appropriate documentation necessary to support: Billing, Medical care Orders, Progress Notes.
• Be available for any nursing questions or to evaluate status changes for patients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current unrestricted or pending Licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care.

Skills

• Ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, presentation programs, and other software relevant to the job.
• Regularly communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Utilizes SBAR technique for effective communication.
• Knowledge of regulatory and third party payor criteria.
• Collaborative agreement with oversight physician(s).

Full-time Position Rotational Schedule between three QuickCare Locations; Kalamazoo and Otsego areas Open 7 days per week with Flexible Schedule including telehealth visits Minimum 2 years experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care or the ER setting APP and Physician Clinic Model

Pay

$150,000 - $180,000 annually
