Job Summary
Provides direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management independently, using physician consultation where appropriate.
Essential Responsibilities
- Elicits a patient history and performs physical examinations.
- Orders screening and diagnostic tests and interprets results to establish diagnoses.
- Develops and implements a plan of care, including treatments, medications, and therapies.
- Monitors patient responses to therapy and revises the plan as necessary.
- Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team, including consulting physicians.
- Makes appropriate referrals based on patient needs.
- Identifies learning needs and collaborates with others to develop educational programs.
- Provides clinical precepting for nursing students, nurse practitioner students, medical students, and others.
- Supports APG and BIDHC practice policies and goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing required.
- Nursing License required.
- Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
- 1-3 years related work experience required.
- Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
- MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG.
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support Certificate required.
- Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Related primary care practice expertise preferred.

- Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families, and external customers.
- Knowledge: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and policies with the ability to apply them in complex situations.
- Team Work: Leads collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internally and externally, across functional areas, and supports APG and BIDHC practice policies and goals.
- Customer Service: Provides a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned units, resolving service issues in a timely and respectful manner.

Physical Nature of the Job
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. The job is physically demanding and requires standing and moving around throughout the majority of the shift.
Pay Range
$112,465.60 USD – $146,598.40 USD
