About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our primary care team in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, family-centered care to pediatric patients from birth through adolescence. You will work collaboratively with physicians, behavioral health providers, and other team members to deliver high-quality, accessible care that addresses both medical and social needs. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community while practicing full-spectrum outpatient pediatrics in a supportive, team-based environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric NP, Family NP with pediatric experience) or Physician Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in Idaho.
- National board certification as NP (PNP, FNP) or PA (NCCPA).
- 0-1 medical professional liability claims with indemnity settlements in professional history.
- Minimum 2-4 years Pediatric primary care experience preferred.
- Current, Active Idaho Controlled Substance license.
- Current DEA license (or ability to obtain before start).
- Current BLS (required); PALS preferred.
Success Factors
- Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
- Knowledge of health education theory and practice.
- Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
