Essential Job Responsibilities

• Affords patient assessments through interviews and chart reviews, physical examinations, and ordering/performing diagnostic tests.
• Determines diagnoses and develops treatment plans, including medication prescriptions and patient education.
• Communicates with other healthcare professionals and community agencies for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintains patient medical records by documenting examination results, diagnoses, medications, and treatments.
• Participates in various educational and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborates with physicians to manage patient care and provides ongoing support between appointments.

Education

• MSN required.
• Advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program.

Experience

• Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting.
• One year of nurse practitioner experience (preferred).

Other Requirements

• Current state registered nurse license.
• Current state license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• CPR certification.
