Overview

OSF HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join their growing Cardiology team in Danville, Illinois. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Provide patient education regarding cardiovascular disease prevention and management
  • Coordinate care with cardiologists, primary care providers, and other specialists
  • Document encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities

Qualifications

  • Required: Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Required: Current Illinois licensure or eligibility for Illinois licensure
  • Required: National certification as an NP or PA
  • Required: Current DEA registration or eligibility
  • Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous cardiology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, hospitalist, or related clinical experience
  • Experience managing patients with cardiovascular disease

Qualifications

  • Licensed to provide Advanced Practice Nurse Services or Physician Assistant Services
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics
